Hammer & Stain Carolina East is a Mobile DIY Social Experience.

Attend a Public Workshop, Book a Private Party, or order a Hammer @ Home Kit. We offer all types of projects from Wall Signs, Sea Glass Art, Chunky Knit Blankets and Faux Stained Glass. We will walk you through the process step by step, sharing our tips and tricks to add to your masterpiece. We want you take make something you will display proudly.

Meet the Owner

Hello! My name is Jennifer Russell, and I am the proud owner of Hammer & Stain Carolina East. With a career spanning over 30 years as an educator, I've dedicated my life to inspiring and empowering others. Along the way, I discovered a deep passion for crafting and creating—a love that has been with me since childhood. Opening Hammer & Stain Carolina East has been a dream come true, as it allows me to blend my love for teaching with my creative spirit.

At Hammer & Stain, I strive to create a welcoming space where people of all skill levels can come together to craft, connect, and create lasting memories. Whether you're painting a personalized sign, assembling a holiday decoration, or tackling a DIY project you've always dreamed of, our workshops are designed to make you feel right at home.

I live in Clayton, North Carolina, with my amazing husband and "SHERPA," Kirk, who is always there to support me. Together, we have two wonderful boys, Will and Ryan, and a houseful of furry friends who keep life exciting: Mac, Finn, Zeke, Lilly, Milo, Sox, and Leo. When I'm not in the studio or spending time with my family, you can usually find me brainstorming new projects, organizing DIY workshops, or enjoying the creative energy of our community.
